Primary school teacher August Brösecke and school caretaker Ferdinand Walzl have been playing the football pools together for years. They finally hit the jackpot—or rather, a "twelve-correct" win—but since over 100 other players shared the same luck, they can barely afford to fulfill their dream of owning a car. The vehicle is practically a wreck, and the money isn't even enough to replace two damaged tires and pay for the fuel for a planned holiday trip to Portofino.
